Our Team

Kelly graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado, Denver, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. She was awarded with scholarships during all four years of attendance. She is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, an alumni member of the professional business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta and is also a member of the West Chamber of Commerce. Kelly received the highest score for the CPA examination in the state of Colorado in May of 1995 and was in the top 120 nationwide for the November 1994 exam.

From 1989 to 1991 Kelly worked for a public accounting firm as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. That firm was sold to another CPA firm in June of 1991 and Kelly became a staff accountant. . She became a minority shareholder of this firm in 1995 and in 1997 she bought out one of the firms founding shareholders. In 2007, Kelly went out on her own and now owns Kelly R McDonald & Associates, PC DBA Cornerstone Professional Accountants, PC. Income tax preparation and planning, QuickBooks® training, education and set-up are Kelly's areas of specialty. Kelly is a member of the professional QuickBooks® Advisors program. She also works extensively doing business consulting, tax planning and preparation.

Erika is a CPA with Cornerstone Professional Accountants, PC, where she primarily focuses her attention on audits, reviews and compilations, tax prepartion and great customer service.  Erika enjoys working in public accounting because it gives her the opportunity to work closely with clilents on hleping them achieve their financial goals.  Erika graduated from Metropolitan State College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in December of 2002.  She obtained her CPA license in June of 2007.  Erika has worked for Kelly R McDonald, Principal of Cornerstone Professional Accountants, since December of 2001.  Erika is a Colorado native.

Terri is a staff accountant with Cornerstone Professional Accountants, PC. Terri has worked for Kelly R McDonald, Principal of Cornerstone Professional Accountants, since October of 1997.  Her concentration is on daily and weekly bookkeeping services, payroll preparation, tax return preparation and meeting clients needs.
